  • Tony Kramer, DNP, APRN, CNP, PMHNP-BC

    Dr. Kramer is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner, and Co-Owner of Schackman Kramer and Associates. He has been in the Bemidji mental health community for approximately 13 years, working in multiple different capacities. Dr. Kramer graduated with his Doctor of Nursing degree from the College of St. Scholastica and is licensed and credentialed in Minnesota. He specializes in treating and diagnosing adults with mood disorders (depression, bipolar), schizophrenia and other thoughts disorders, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, dementia, and substance use disorders. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, be in the outdoors hunting with his dogs, hiking, and camping. He also spends time wood working.

  • Cindy Schackman, APRN, CNP, FPMHNP-BC

    Cindy is a Board-Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Co-Owner of Schackman Kramer and Associates. Cindy graduated from the University of North Dakota with her master’s degree in nursing. She is currently licensed and credentialed in both Minnesota and Florida. Cindy has been working in mental health since approximately 1995 in a variety of capacities. She has been a nurse practitioner since 2004. Cindy specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of children and adolescents diagnosed with, Autism, Asperger’s, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She also has experience treating mood disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, and anxiety.

  • Susan Kramer, MS, LPCC

    With over a decade of experience in mental health, I specialize in working with adolescents and high school students facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and life transitions. Utilizing Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), I strive to create a supportive and engaging space where clients feel heard and empowered. Whether navigating a difficult season or feeling stuck, my goal is to help individuals build resilience, gain confidence, and move toward positive change.

  • Robin Hewitt, MS, LMFT

    I am a Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping couples and individuals make progress with their concerns through collaborative work and a supportive environment. My work focuses on loss/grief, conflict management, depression, anxiety and trauma recovery. I believe in working with clients to achieve their goals and would welcome an opportunity to do so with you!

    I am also involved with several organizations that allow me to respond to and assist with disaster/crisis recovery. I am a presenter of Psychological First Aid and I am trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and Skills for Psychological Recovery.

    I am generally in the office for in-person appointments, but do provide teletherapy while snow-birding in the winter months.

  • Gina Ballard-Schmunk, APRN, CNP, PMHNP-BC

    Gina is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with her master’s degree in nursing. She is currently licensed and credentialed in Minnesota. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Gina worked at a nursing and rehab center as the RN Quality Assurance Coordinator.  She sees ages 3 to geriatric and specializes in diagnosing and treating ADHD, mood disorders (depression and bipolar I & II), anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, Dementias, and schizophrenia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren and visiting new places.  

  • Mitchell Ejnik, CNP, PMHNP-BC

    I graduated from The College of St. Scholastic in 2016 (2012-2016) with my BSN. I have worked as an RN from 2016 – current primarily in inpatient mental health hospitals as well as some time working as a director of nursing of a long-term care facility during that timeframe. In 2024 I graduated from Maryville University (2021-2024) with my Master’s of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I became board certified in July of 2024.

    Currently, I am providing services as a PMHNP in the outpatient setting where I examine, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental illnesses through medication management including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, etc. Treatment ages range from 12 years old through the lifespan. I discovered my passion for mental health when I was completing my undergrad program, and I strive to use the knowledge I have attained through my academic history and work experience to improve the quality of life of all patients. I am dedicated to providing honest, respectful, empathetic, and non-biased care to all of my patients who entrust me with their care. My goal is to utilize a team approach with each patient to develop a plan that is both safe and effective while achieving positive outcomes.

    In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and dogs, musky fishing, and watching/playing sports.

  • Jay Wilimek, Ph.D., L.P.

    Dr. Wilimek is a Board-Certified Licensed Psychologist who is both licensed and credentialed in the state of Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1979 with his Doctoral degree. Dr. Wilimek has been practicing at this location since 1987 and is one of the original owners of Wildgen Wilimek and Associates. He specializes in the diagnosing and treating patients 18 and older with a variety of different diagnosis. He utilizes a variety of different therapeutic techniques in his practice, to create a customized plan for each patient.

  • Matthew A. Ross, MSN, RN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

    Matt is a Board-Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He graduated from Walden University with his master's degree in nursing in 2024 and is currently licensed and credentialed in Minnesota. Matt has worked his entire career serving the Native American population at Indian Health Service and Tribal Health levels in home care/public health, department management, walk-in clinic, and was the nurse care coordinator for the IHS Telebehavioral Health Program. As A PMHNP, Matt diagnoses, manages, and treats mental and behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, addiction, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia in clients aged five and older. Matt utilizes a patient-centered approach in his practice, ensuring that the client is actively involved in decision-making about their health. He formulates his treatment plan based on each client's individual values, preferences, and unique needs, fostering a positive client/clinician partnership. In his spare time, Matt enjoys outdoor activities, weight training, traveling, and spending time with his family.
